Vision

I was happily married for many years when eventually the time came when my husband and I chose to go our separate ways. We both acknowledged that we still loved each other, but no longer wanted to be married. During the years that followed, I filled my work and social life with busyness, including spending time with friends, family, and church activities.  However, I had no sense of how to move into a new relationship with a prospective partner.

I prayed for direction and soon received an offer from my company to move to Los Angeles. Certainly I knew I would miss my life in the Bay Area, but this move would offer me a fresh start in a new city. And, there was the added bonus of the Agape International Spiritual Center, which I loved.

Upon my move, I attended Agape’s New Member Class, during which we did a visioning process wherein we were asked to write a vision for our lives. I was surprised by the vision I caught and the words I was given: a home on a hill with a view of the water; a partner who believed in a Higher Power, would honor my spiritual path, and with whom I’d dance to the music of the world. The next month I met the man described in that vision and we have been together for 17 magnificent years!

The practice of Life Visioning is a fundamental pillar in Rev. Michael’s teachings.  It is applicable in all aspects of one’s individual life, in businesses, and for creating a vision for one’s spiritual community and ministries.

The Practice:

Research and identify a meditation technique that is suited to your nature.  Practice it for 15 to 30 minutes each day.  During this time, ask yourself, “What is Spirit’s vision for my life?”, then simply open your heart in an energy of receptivity.
